Candidates file for city and school board seats

The election filing deadline for several nonpartisan races in Lawrence County that will be held this fall was Tuesday, June 2 (yesterday) at 4:00 p.m.  Those races include the Louisa Mayor,  the Louisa City Council and the Lawrence County School Board.

Candidates filing for Mayor was incumbent Harold Slone and Corey Vanhoose.

City Council candidates filing were incumbents Coty Roe, Robert Joey McClanahan, Michael Caleb Farley and Kala Robinson. Also filing for a council seat was Sheryl Wellman and Sheila Thompson Holt.

School board candidates for District 1 was incumbent Maddelyn Roberts and Jason W. Marcum; and District 3, Christopher Williams.
