BIG SANDY REGION —Cold temperatures with snow have finally hit us this winter. Snow totals are anywhere from five inches to seven inches and more is expected later this week.
There have been numerous accidents in the area due to slick conditions and travel has been hazardous.
Martin County Constable Brad Preece posted pictures on Facebook.
“I want to let everybody know if you are coming towards Wolfcreek or thinking about it, do not chance it, especially up South Wolfcreek, we have tractor trailer trucks stuck everywhere,” Preece said in post.
In Martin County, Judge Executive Lon Lafferty asked people to stay home unless it was an emergency.
All of the counties have set up Warming Stations, schools were closed and the government also decided to be closed.
