Annual tree lighting to be held in downtown Louisa

Lawrence County Tourism Commission will host a “Music in the Garden” at the Garden Theater, South Main Cross St., on Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 3 p.m., with performances by Laidback Country Picker and Honey with special guests, Ollie and Friends.

Admission is free although donations will be accepted for the Lawrence County Food insecurity programs.

More activities will be across the street on the courthouse lawn, beginning at 6 p.m., with train rides, hot chocolate, cookie and cupcakes.

Santa will make his first official visit to Lawrence County, giving out gifts to children (while supplies last) and to end the evening the Christmas tree will be lit for the holiday season at 7 p.m.
