PAINTSVILLE — A total of $6,200 was raised for Christmas for Kids at this year’s Alley Fest, according to program official Brandon May.

“We are so thankful for Jordan and Lindsey Pelfrey for inviting Christmas for Kids of Kentucky, Inc. to be part of Alley Fest 2022,” May said in a release. “Our partnership was an amazing success and we are privileged to have been part of such an amazing event. We had an outstanding time greeting familiar faces as well as greeting those who traveled outside our region for the festivities, all while experiencing some of the best music in the mountains. We are thankful for the giving hearts of community minded business-owners like Jordan and Lindsey as well as the many individuals and families that support our organization.

“It pleases me to accept this money on behalf of our organization. This money is the product of hard work and philanthropic minds. Along with the donation, our organization was given such a great opportunity to network and spread the word about our December 10th event. It’s the pinnacle of our year and Alley Fest just gave us the ability to serve exponentially more children and their families.”

The Dec. 10 Christmas for Kids event will be held at the Paintsville Recreation Center and will include Santa Claus handing out toys and other goods to as many children and their families that they can possibly serve, May said.
