11th annual “Country Christmas” to be Dec. 2 in Louisa
Love Joy Ministries is getting an early start on Christmas this year, by hosting a “Toy Donation Drive” now thru the end of November.
The 11th annual Country Christmas will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Lawrence County Community Center, 205 Bulldog Lane, Louisa, beside the high school.
The event provides kids up to the age of 18 with a wrapped gift and hot meal and lots of fun. Local churches and businesses can sign up to set up a table and give out treats as the children and parents/guardians pass thru the magical Christmas Wonderland. Volunteers are also needed to help with serving food and clean-up during and after the event.
The Big Sandy News at 3455 Highway 2565, Louisa, will, as in the past be a drop off location for toys and stocking stuffers for the event. The office is open 9-5 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Call 606-638-4581 for more information.
