LOUISA — Six home games highlight Lawrence County’s 2023 schedule.

The Bulldogs are currently preparing to compete in the 2023 high school football season.

Lawrence County’s 2023 schedule includes home games versus Shelby Valley, Perry County Central, Estill County, Magoffin County, Boyd County and Mason County.

The Bulldogs are slated to host Shelby Valley for a home opener on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Lawrence County has away games scheduled versus Rowan County, Harlan County, Belfry and Powell County in the 2023 high school football season.

The Bulldogs are due to kick off the 2023 high school football season at Rowan County on Friday, Aug. 18.

Lawrence County knocked off Belfry to claim the 2022 Class 3A, District 8 championship. Following the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s realignment, Lawrence County will continue to compete in Class 3A, District 8.

The Bulldogs opened preseason practice after the conclusion of the KHSAA Dead Period.

Lawrence County’s schedule for the 2023 high school football season follows. Aug. 18 at Rowan County, 7:30 p.m.; Aug. 26 Shelby Valley, 7:30 p.m. (Lawrence County Farm Bureau Bowl); Sept. 1 Perry County Central, 7:30 p.m.; Sept. 15 at Harlan County, 7:30 p.m.;

Sept. 22 Estill County, 7:30 p.m.; Sept. 29 at Belfry, 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 6 Magoffin County, 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 13 at Powell County, 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 20 Boyd County, 7:30 p.m.; and Oct. 27 Mason County, 7:30 p.m.
