Methax selected to NCCAA Scholar-Athlete Team

GREENVILLE, SC — The NCCAA has announced its softball awards for the 2023 season and the honorees include an area student-athlete who graduated from Lawrence County High School.

Seven individual players from Alice Lloyd College have been recognized as NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.

The recipients must be at least a junior academically and have maintained a minimum 3.4 GPA while in college.

For Alice Lloyd College, Carly Creech, Ellie Keene, Maleigh McDaniel, Mackenzie Methax, Alexis Morris, Audrey Mowell, and Kursten Napier received the honor from the NCCAA. Methax is a designated player from Louisa who completed her junior season in the spring. A standout student-athlete, Methax is a Lawrence County High School graduate.
