Johnson Central sweeps Class 4A, District 6 honors

PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central swept the Class 4A, District 6 honors for the 2025 high school football season.
The Golden Eagles finished perfect in the regular season, compiling a 10-0 record. Johnson Central reached the second round of the KHSAA Class 4A State Football Playoffs. The Golden Eagles exited the 2025 high school football season 11-1.
The Kentucky Football Coaches Association has honored Johnson Central head coach Jesse Peck, senior running back Logan Music and senior defensive lineman Drew Ferguson.
Peck has been named the Class 4A, District 6 Coach of the Year. He guided Johnson Central to a 10-0 regular season record and the Class 4A, District 6 title.
Music has been named the Class 4A, District 6 Player of the Year. As a senior, Music rushed 130 times for 1,326 yards and 15 touchdowns. Chipping in defensively as a senior, Music contributed 29 tackles and one interception.
Ferguson has been named the Class 4A, District 6 Lineman of the Year. Among the strongest high school football players in the state, Ferguson provided 72 tackles, five tackles for losses and five and one-half sacks for the Golden Eagles.
Peck, Music and Ferguson will be honored during the KHSAA Football State Finals at Kroger Field in Lexington in early-December.
