Fugate tabbed First Team All-State

PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville senior pitcher Connor Fugate has been tabbed First Team All-State.

A standout, Fugate earned the honor from the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association (KHSBCA).

Fugate, who has signed with the University of Kentucky, led Paintsville throughout the 2023 high school baseball season, excelling on the mound. The Paintsville senior pitcher appeared in 13 games, making 11 starts. Fugate compiled a 9-0 record with a 0.71 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 69.1 innings. In addition, Fugate recorded one save.
