Westbound I-64 Rest Area at Grayson Closed for Renovations

FLEMINGSBURG – The westbound Interstate 64 Kentucky Welcome Center rest area at Grayson has temporarily closed for renovations.

The facility, located on I-64 near mile marker 174 in Carter County, will remain barricaded now through spring 2024 for construction. There will be no vehicle or truck parking access. Electronic message boards have been placed in advance to warn interstate travelers.

The work is part of a $700,000 Kentucky Transportation Cabinet upgrade of the facility’s plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as painting and other renovations.
