Tractor Supply to host event to celebrate animals
BRENTWOOD, TN — Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, announced on Monday, Aug. 10, that Animal Days are back just in time for the dog days of summer. The two-week event celebrates animals of all kinds and the people and organizations that care for them with exclusive deals, giveaways, adoption events and donations. Leashed pets are invited and encouraged to join in the fun during Animal Days and throughout the year.
Tractor Supply brings back Animal Days, with special deals on essentials for pets and animals, nationwide community ‘pawty’ and grants to 51 animal shelters across the U.S. alongside Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation. A total of $255,000 will be awarded.
“From the backyard to the barnyard, animals both large and small are cherished members of our families, and our customers always want to give them the absolute best. But we also recognize that those day-to-day expenses can add up quickly,” said Nicole Logan, Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager at Tractor Supply. “Animal Days are an invitation to stock up on high-quality essentials while celebrating our beloved pets and animals. They are also a fun opportunity to celebrate the incredible owners, rescues and shelters who dedicate themselves to these animals every day.” Stock up on treats, toys and quality nutrition.
Pet and animal care is a priority for many Americans, as more than three quarters own at least one kind of pet. Food and treats make up around 96% of monthly pet expenses, followed closely by toys and vitamins or specialized nutrition. In response, Tractor Supply hosted its first Animal Days event in February, providing some welcome savings on many pet and animal favorites.
On Saturday, Aug. 15, every Tractor Supply store is hosting an Animal Days celebration for the entire community and their leashed pets. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time, stores will have free dog and cat treat tastings available from 4health, Paws & Claws and Retriever, as well as special doorbuster deals all day.
Stores will also offer free collapsible dog bowl giveaways and a plush toy bandana kids craft while supplies last. Visit your Tractor Supply store for details on your local Animal Days celebration.
During the event, the Lawrence County Animal Care and Control will host an “Adoption Fair” from 10 a.m. to noon, to connect homeless/stray animals with new families, at Tractor Supply, 16230 US 23, in Louisa.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s office and the Quick Response Team will also be there with K-9 Unit for a demonstration.
Jessica Fletcher, Lawrence County Animal Control officer said, “Come find your “Furever” friend and give a shelter pet the second change they deserve, your new best friend is waiting for you.” For information on how to adopt from the local animal control shelter, call 606-624-5070 or visit them at 23 Poorhouse Road, off Highway 32, west of Louisa.
