Suspicious device located in Little Cat Fork area of Lawrence County

Kentucky State Police Post 14 are still investigating an incident that occurred in Lawrence County Friday evening, Feb. 7. Authorities, along with Fallsburg Fire Department were

called to a private residence of Little Catt Fork area after a suspicious device was reported found in a cooler.

The KSP asked everyone to avoid the area while they called in Hazardous Device Unit to assist in investigating. A short time later KSP released a statement saying they had determined the device was not explosive and posed no threat to public safety. They deemed the area safe and advised the public to resume normal activities.

No other details were released by the KSP concerning the incident.
