Septemberfest Pageant scheduled Sept. 6

LOUISA — The Septemberfest Pageant is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 6, at 5:30 p.m., at Louisa East Elementary School behind Dee’s Restaurant.
The annual pageant is in conjunction with the activities of the Lawrence County’s Septemberfest and is being sponsored by Lawrence County High School Cheer.
The crowning of Miss Septemberfest will be the highlight of the pageant. The winner will serve as ambassador of good will and have a role in the activities of Septemberfest.
Categories for the pageant are Prettiest Baby Boy/Girl (newborn to 12-months); Cutest Toddler Boy/Girl (13-months to 2 years); Tiny Mr./Miss Septemberfest (3-5 years); Little Mr./Miss Septemberfest (6-8 years); Young Miss Septemberfest (9-12 years); Junior Miss Septemberfest (13-15 years); and Miss Septemberfest (16-18 years of age).
Contestants can pick up applications for the event at the Lawrence County Public Library and Farmhouse Memories. They can also be requested by mail at Jennifer Pannell, 100 Bulldog Lane, Louisa, 41230, prior to Friday, Aug. 27. Mail the entry fee of $30, with checks made out to LC POM Club. For the Most Photogenic entry fee, add $5 per picture (5x7 or 8x10 with no frames).
Contestants can also register on the day of the pageant from 3-5 p.m. at the school.
