Septemberfest music line-up announced

LOUISA — The music line-up for the “Best Little Festival in Kentucky” was announced this week.
On-the-street entertainment has always been a main attraction at the Lawrence County Septemberfest, which is returning to the streets of Louisa Sept. 10-11.
“After more than a year of pandemic restrictions on festivals and entertainment, I believe this year is promising to be one of the biggest and best festivals in our long running 33-year history,” Septemberfest Chairman Harold Slone said.
Entertainment on the main stage on Friday, Sept. 10, will be Loud Diversion, a local band that will take the stage at 5 p.m. Eddie Jenkins and band will play at 6 p.m., followed by Adam Warner, a Nashville recording country music singer, at 7:30 p.m.
Friday night’s headline entertainment this year will be Nashville recording artist Priscella Block, who will perform at 9:30 p.m.
New to the festival this year is a Bluegrass Gospel Show on Friday evening at the Main Street Park with Cornerstone and Rick May, Don and John Rigsby, and Tim Corbet.
On Saturday, Sept. 11, sounds of bluegrass music will be heard at the Main Street Park stage beginning at 1 p.m., with Timberline, followed by Hammertowne. The featured band will be announced at a later date.
On Saturday night, the main stage will rock to the sounds of The Cornbread Orchestra — Kenny Chaney and band members who play Southern rock and country will take the stage at 6 p.m. A Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, Turn It Up, will take you on a Southern journey as they perform your favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd hits at 7:30 p.m. Country artist Trent Tomlinson will take the main stage at 9:30 p.m. for a show of all shows, featuring hits like “Drunker Than Me” and many more.
Also new this year will be an acoustic series at the Masterpiece Café Courtyard on Main Cross Street.
Craft and food vendors, carnival rides and games continue to be a favorite to many throughout the weekend at Septemberfest, which will end with fireworks on Saturday night.
