Scheduled Meetings and Personnel Action Announced by Lawrence County BOE

The Lawrence County Board of Education announced its 2026 schedule for public meetings.

All meetings are held every third Monday of the month at 6 p.m., in the Lawrence County High School library with two exceptions due to holidays and two of which are scheduled at different schools.

Those include this month’s meeting (January) and February, both will be held on Tuesday evening at LCHS because those Mondays are holidays.

The March 18 meeting location will be Blaine Elementary School with the October 19 meeting held at Fallsburg Elementary School.

Also, in the Superintendent’s Personnel Action/Update there were four hires including Amy Nix at Louisa Middle School, instructional assistant; Larry C. Skaggs, bus monitor; Dakota Michael, substitute school nurse/Sp needs nurse; Travis Feltner, LCHS high school baseball coach.

There was one change in position and that was Cassandra Plymale, who went from substitute to preschool instructional assistant; and two resignations, Robert Holley III, bus driver and Leonard Warth, bus driver.

These updates were from the December board meeting.
