Record attendance recorded at 98th National FFA Convention and Expo
Thirteen students from Lawrence County High School attended the 98th annual National Future Farmers of America Convention and Expo, which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, Oct. 19 thru Nov. 1.
A recording breaking 73,000 plus people attended from across the United States. A total of 141 workshops were held throughout the event.
On Wednesday following a day of learning workshops there was an award recognition ceremony, a live concert and a rodeo for the students.
On Thursday, Oct. 30 and Friday, Oct. 31, following two full day of events, there was more award recognition ceremonies, a rodeo and hypnotist shows, and on 5,161 American FFA Degrees and 245 honorary American FFA Degrees were given on stage at the Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 1.
