Personnel actions announced by LC Board of Education following meeting

The Lawrence County Board of Education announced the following updates in the Superintendent’s Personnel Actions for the month of June with new hires in the district.
Among the new hires are Jessica Hignite, as a substitute bus monitor and three substitute teachers, Jerah Horn, Stephanie Hughes and Emily Neal.
Six resignations were accepted and among those were Central Office employee Tiffany Brooks who was AP Clerk/Attendance Specialist, Rebecca Chicko (bus monitor) and Teresa Dunn (bus monitor clerk) from Transportation, Secretaries, Samantha Endicott (LEES) and Kathy Morrow (LCHS), and Kristen West Louisa Middle School Teacher.
The Lawrence County School District had eleven retirements among those were Pam Branham, LWES Instructional Assistant; Jennifer Dheel, Resource Teacher; Edward Dixon, LEES Principal; Janice Hewlett, Bus Monitor; Nora Huff, LEES Teacher; Shawn Jennings, BES Principal; Debbie Johnson, Instructional Assistant; Charles Perkins, LBD Teacher; David Prince LCHS Teacher; Teresa Prince, FES Teacher; Andrea Riffe, LEES Teacher and George Salyer Transportation Bus Driver.
The district reported ten non-renewals as well and among those are six teachers, Brian Akers, Thomas Castle and Stephanie Prater of LCHS, Brittany Fitch (1-year) and Jessica Meddings, both at LWES and Cynthia Sparks at BES.
Other non-renewals are Joey Cecil, Interim Assistant Principal at LCHS; Christy Curnutte, LCHS Family and Consumer Science; Megan Hall, LWES Instructional Assistant Preschool; Kristi Parks, Instructional Assistant Preschool IDEA.
It is not known at this time if the contracts will be renewed at this time.
