Martin County Grand Jury hands down 11 indictments

The Martin County Grand Jury handed down 11 indictments when they met for their June session.
Among those true bills were:
•Marsha Patrick Fletcher, 47, of Pilgrim, was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 when on Feb. 1, she unlawfully committed the offense of taking a diamond ring valued at approximately $2,000from Amanda Sweeny.
In a separate indictment, Fletcher was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 when on April 10, she committed the offense of unlawfully taking $1,935 through fraudulent transactions and $7,210 worth of numerous items of jewelry and coins from Bruce and Norma Young.
•Richard Michael Maynard, 49, of Inez, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs fourth or greater offence and prescription of a controlled substance not in proper container when on Jan. 28, he unlawfully committed the offense of operating a vehicle while being impaired with 3 prior convictions within the past ten years. Maynard was also found to be in possession of 2 Naloxone strips not in the proper administered container.
•Herman Endicott Jr. 54, of Inez, was charged with trafficking in the first-degree when on Aug. 10, 2022, he committed the offense of unlawfully trafficking approximately 3.620 grams of methamphetamine.
•Green Ramey, 44, of Louisa, was charged with two counts of trafficking in the first degree, persistent felony offender, trafficking in the third degree, trafficking in marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia when on April 19, Ramey committed the offense of being in possession of approximately 9.651 grams of methamphetamine, $234 in cash monies and 2 digital scales. Ramey also committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance when he was in possession of 4 suboxone strips and 3rd degree trafficking for being in possession of 18 1/2 dosage units of Klonopin and 8 ounces of marijuana and being in possession of a syringe.
•Robert Drenning, 48, of Beauty, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when on May 1, he/she committed the offense of knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with a felony charge in which he/she failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court, namely a sentencing.
•Ricky L. Goble, 61, of Irvine, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when he/she committed the offense of knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with a felony charge in which he/she failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court, namely a sentencing.
•Brenton Johnson, 32, of Inez, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when he/she committed the offense of knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with a felony charge in which he/she failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court, namely a sentencing.
•Brenton Johnson was also indicted for the same charge on a different case.
•John Slone, 59, of Williamson, WV, was charged with 1st degree bail jumping when he/she committed the offense of knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he/she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with a felony charge in which he/she failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court, namely a pre-trial conference.
•John Slone was also indicted for the same charge on a different case.
