Martin Co. man dies in ATV crash

PILGRIM — A Martin County man died as a result of an ATV crash on Emily Creek Road on Sunday, Aug. 13.

William Riley Dillon, 29, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Martin County Coroner Chris Todd.

The incident is under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Kentucky State Police.

Todd said that he is transporting Dillon’s body to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. At press time, preliminary autopsy results weren’t available.

Dillon is survived by his mother and father, Ricky and Melissa Dillon of Pilgrim; a brother, Ricky Michael Dillon of Pilgrim and a sister, Dorothy Renee Johnson, of Pilgrim.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday at the Buck Branch United Baptist Church with Ellis Maynard and Lloyd Parsley officiating. Burial will follow at the Maynard Family Cemetery at Pilgrim.
