WARFIELD — The body of a Warfield man who had been reportedly missing since Tuesday was found at Warfield Park around noon on Friday.

The body was identified as that of Aaron Justice, 29, of Warfield.

Justice is survived by his parents Shannon Justice and Billie Jean Johnson; one son, Tristan Blake Justice of Alabama; two brothers, Shannon Justice of Warfield and Derek Risner of Wayne County, W.Va.; one sister, Kelsey Runyon of Wayne County, W.Va.; his grandparents, Bernice and Paul Dillon of Kermit, W.Va., and Denis Swisher of Warfield as well as a host of other relatives.

Funeral Services were held Monday in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Ellis Maynard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Crum Funeral Home in Inez.

Martin County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Kidd said a citizen was walking his dog and possibly found a deceased individual close to the Warfield Park, at the baseball field.

Martin County Coroner Chris Todd told WYMT that he along with the sheriff’s department responded to the location and located the male subject laying over the bank and that family members told him that Justice had been missing since Tuesday.

Kidd said toxicology reports and examinations have to be done and completed before they would be able to comment on the cause of death.

“At this time, its still under investigation,” Kidd said.

Anyone with information about the circumstances surrounding Justice’s death is encouraged to contact the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 606-298-2828.
