LC Back to School Events Announced

The Lawrence County School District has announced back-to-school events.

•Beginning Thursday, July 30, at 4:30 to 6 p.m., is Blaine Elementary Readifest.

• Friday, July 31, from 8:30 a.m. til noon, will be Louisa East and Louisa West Readifest at the Lawrence County Community Center on Bulldog Lane. Pre K-K- and first grades at 8:30; second and third grades at 10 a.m. and fourth and fifth grades at 11 a.m.

• Monday, Aug. 3, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., is Fallsburg Elementary Readifest.

•Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 4:30-6 p.m., is Blaine Elementary “Meet the Teacher”

•Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m.-noon, is Lawrence County High School, Freshman Orientation/Parent and Guardian Meeting at noon; grades, 10, 11 and 12, from

10 a.m. -1 p.m., is schedule pick-up; Louisa East Elementary “Meet the Teacher” is from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Aug. 6, from 4-5:30 p.m. Louisa Middle School 6th grade “Meet the Teacher,” complete online registration and tour the school.

•Monday, Aug. 10, from 3:30-5 p.m. Fallsburg Elementary School “Meet the Teacher”; 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. sessions at Louisa West Elementary, K-1 “Meet the Teacher”; from 4-5:30 p.m., is 7th and 8th grade schedule pick-up and “Meet the Teacher”.

•Wednesday Aug. 12, is first day of school for all Lawrence County students.
