Lawrence Grand Jury returns 24 indictments

LOUISA — The Lawrence County Grand Jury returned 24 indictments Thursday.

Named in the true bills were:

• Lanetta G. Johnson, 42, of Prichard, W.Va., charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for allegedly possessing 2.20 grams of methamphetamine packaged in multiple baggies and digital scales with the intent to traffic in that methamphetamine on Aug. 22.

• Lonnie Maynard, 49, of Louisa, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and careless driving for allegedly possessing 2.20 grams of methamphetamine, cut or altered straws, glass pipes and multiple syringes with the intent to traffic methamphetamine and operating a motor vehicle in a careless manner on Aug. 22.

• William Blackburn, 37, address not available, charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and heroin with the intent to traffic on Oct. 8.

• Sammy Cooper, 36, of Prichard, W.Va., charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and improper registration plate for allegedly possessing 10.695 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to traffic and being in physical control of an automobile upon a Kentucky roadway with an improper registration plate on July 21.

• Amber Ball, 33, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Aug. 10.

• Seirra Dillon, 21, of Louisa, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and trafficking in marijuana for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, 10 grams of marijuana, $300 in cash and digital scales with the intent to traffic methamphetamine and marijuana on May 6.

• Robie Ramey, 42, of Louisa, charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly

engaging in conduct that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to John and Nathaniel Ramey and possessing methamphetamine on July 9.

• Stephanie Hamilton, 40, of Hi Hat, charged with theft by unlawful taking over $500 (auto) and first-degree fleeing/evading for allegedly taking a 2018 Dodge Journey van owned by Angela Vanhoose of Ulysses with a value of approximately $12,000 and disregarding signals and commands to stop given by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy Chase Kirk with the intent to flee, avoid or elude her arrest on June 28.

• Larry Dixon, 55, Sarah Booth, 34, and Joshua Fetherolf, 37, all of Louisa, charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking n a controlled substance/complicity for allegedly, acting alone or in complicity with each other, possessing allegedly methamphetamine, heroin, $419 in cash money, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the intent to traffic in methamphetamine and heroin on July 7.

Fetherolf is additionally charged as a second-degree persistent felony offender.

• Steve Clay, 52, of Louisa, charged with fraudulent use of a credit card over $500 but under $10,000 and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly defrauding an account registered to Verlin and Nancy Bryant of Louisa for the purpose of obtaining $3,633.86 in goods or services by representing without consent of the cardholder that he was the holder of the specific card with unauthorized purchases exceeding $500 on June 17 through July 19 and for having previously been convicted of a felony.

• Jacolbey Bills, 31, of Cabell, W.Va., charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly restraining Tobitha Hedgepeth of Blaine under circumstances which exposed her to a risk of serious physical injury, engaging in conduct that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Hedgpeth, intentionally assaulting Hedgepeth and causing physical injury, and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without having permission by the registered owner of the motor vehicle on Aug. 2.

• Dustin Henry, 38, of Louisa, charged with three counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument for allegedly possessing a forged $20 bill and passing it at Food City of Louisa on June 6 and passing fraudulent or forged $20 bills at Clark’s Pump and Shop of Louisa and at The Outpost of Louisa on June 15.

• Brian Wolford, 38, of Louisa, charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly uttering or possessing a fraudulent or forged $20 bill and passing it at McDonald’s of Louisa on June 21 and for having previously been convicted of a felony.

• Travis Pauley, 30, of Fort Gay, W.Va., charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and license to be in possession for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and operating a motor vehicle on a Kentucky roadway without being in possession of his operator’s license on July 5.

• John Moore, 37, Sonya Fitzgerald, 32, and Jason Meadows, 37, all of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/complicity for allegedly, acting alone or in complicity with each other, possessing methamphetamine on June 3.

• Amy Gantt, 32, of Louisa, charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument for allegedly possessing and passing a fraudulent or forged $20 bill at Speedway of Louisa on June 19.

• Kenneth Mckinster, 33, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, two counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500 and under $1,000, and second-degree criminal trespassing for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, taking a golf cart belonging to Randy Miller with a value not exceeding $1,000 and a Gator ATV belonging to Bryan Cassidy with a value not exceeding $1,000, and unlawfully entering and remaining on property belonging to Trevor Perry on July 7.

• Tiffany Chafin, 26, and Cody Blankenship, 26, addresses not available, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/complicity, second-degree possession of a controlled substance/complicity, possession/use drug paraphernalia/complicity, possession of marijuana/complicity and second-degree wanton endangerment/complicity for allegedly, acting alone or in complicity with each other, possessing methamphetamine and another drug as well as syringes, rolling papers and a powder scoop; engaging in conduct that created a substantial danger to Louisa Police Sgt. Steve Wilburn on March 19.

Blankenship is additionally charged with theft by deception under $500 for allegedly incurring a hotel room with fees in excess of $300 at Best Western of Louisa with the intent to deprive the facility of $329.64 on March 19.

• Patsy Frazier, 56, of Webbville, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession/use of drug paraphernalia, two counts of illegal possession of a legend drug and controlled substance not in the proper container.
