Thousands upon thousands of people helped Septemberfest celebrate Lawrence County’s bicentennial last weekend. Festival organizers did not release attendance figures for this year’s two-day event, but they said it was by far the largest crowds in the festival’s history. What drew this year’s crowds to the annual Louisa event were the free music shows by Lawrence County natives Ricky Skaggs, Tyler Childers and Noah Thompson, along with Larry Cordle and other local favorites.
