Lawrence County Sends 13 Cases to Grand Jury

Lawrence County grand jury met for the last session of 2025 last Thursday, Dec. 11, handing down 13 indictments.
Those cases going on for further judicial review are:
•Robin Shepherd, 56, of Sitka, charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree and possession of drug paraphernalia when on Feb. 13, she was accused of unlawfully being in possession of methamphetamine and two glass smoking pipes.
•Shari Marcum, 59, of Louisa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, possession/use of drug paraphernalia (glass pipe), failure to wear seatbelt and inadequate silencer (muffler), improper equipment all stemming from an occurrence on April 14.
•Eddie H. Kennedy, 70, of Webbville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession/use of drug paraphernalia, no registration plates, improper equipment when on Aug. 11, he/she is accused of unlawfully being in possession of methamphetamine, destroying, altering or removing physical evidence he believed would be used against him/her in court, and was in possession of a glass vile/tube while driving under the influence 2nd offense within 10 years.
•Paul A. Watts, 50, of Genoa, WV., was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession/use of drug paraphernalia (2) syringes from an occurrence dated March 18.
•Brian Kevin Beckett, 58, of Dunlow, WV, was charged with burglary 3rd degree 2 counts and tampering with physical evidence 3 counts when on Oct., 25, he is accused of unlawfully entering a building owned by Addiction Recovery Care Maintenance (Scott Robinson) with the intent to commit a crime therein and concealing destroying or altering physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in official proceedings.
•Kennith Pack, 67, of Louisa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession/use of drug paraphernalia, failure to produce insurance card, no/expired registration receipt, no registration plates for an incident that occurred on March 12.
•Christian Cunningham, 42, of Clearfield, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession/use of drug paraphernalia for an incident that occurred April 14.
•Justin McCoy, 30, of Louisa, was charged with strangulation 2nd degree (domestic violence) for an incident that occurred on Nov. 2.
•Justin McCoy, 30, of Louisa, in a separate indictment was charged with wanton endangerment 1st degree, criminal mischief 1st degree, leaving the scene of an accident failure to render aid when on Sept. 25, he is accused of engaging behavior that creates death or substantial injury to another, namely Dakota Adkins, he unlawfully damaged property belonging to Adkins namely a 2005 Ford Focus with an estimated value of $2,200. He also committed the offense of leaving the scene of an accident he was involved in with another vehicle without stopping to render aid.
•Elizabeth Green, 55, of Louisa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, possession/use drug paraphernalia for an incident that occurred Sept. 25.
•Jasmine Bond, 35, of Louisa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (fentanyl), tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree (hydrocodone), possession/use of drug paraphernalia (glass pipe), possession of marijuana for an incident that occurred on Sept. 25.
•Brian Wolford 42, of Louisa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (fentanyl), tampering with physical evidence, possession/use of drug paraphernalia (glass pipe), possession of marijuana and rear license not illuminated for an incident that occurred on Sept. 25.
•Douglas Brewer, 36, of Louisa, was charged with assault 2nd degree (domestic violence) 3 counts, and criminal mischief 1st degree when on September 28 he is accused of intentionally causing injury to another adult and two juveniles and damaging an IPhone owned by one of the victims.
