Lawrence County Grand Jury returns 20 indictments

LOUISA — The Lawrence County Grand Jury returned 20 indictments on Oct. 10.
Named in the true bills were;
• Justin Roberts, 30, of Louisa, charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, endangering the welfare of a minor, no registration receipt and first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, endangering the welfare of a minor, having no registration receipt and possessing LSD on Sept. 24.
• Amber Martin, 34, of Barbourville, W.Va., charged with first-degree robbery and theft of identity for allegedly, while in the course of committing a theft of $3,600 in cash from Kenneth Sammons of Lawrence County, using or threatening the immediate use of physical force upon Sammons, the occupant of the residence, in an attempt to accomplish the theft while armed with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument; and using former or current identifying information of Amber Fosson, with the intent to represent herself as Fosson for the purpose of deceiving or defrauding, on Sept. 18.
• Darin “Candy Jesus” Conley, 36, of Louisa, charged with second-degree burglary for allegedly entering a dwelling house located on San Branch Road in Louisa owned by Angie Chafin with the intent to commit theft on Aug. 25.
• Beth Stump, 40, of Louisa, charged in two separate indictments with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree burglary for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, baggies and scales on Aug. 30, and entering a dwelling house owned by James Mullett of Louisa with the intent to commit theft on May 11 .
• Earl D. Collins, 42, of Hazard, charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, second-degree disorderly conduct; third-degree criminal trespass and public intoxication, excluding alcohol, for allegedly disregarding orders of Louisa Police Sgt. Steve Wilburn to stop; engaging in violent or threatening behavior in a public place with the intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, and or alarm; entering and remaining unlawfully upon property owned and maintained by the First Baptist Church of Louisa; and being manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree he may endanger himself or other persons or property, or unreasonably annoy persons in his vicinity on Oct. 29, 2021.
• John T. Scott, 36, address unknown, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication, excluding alcohol, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and an altered glass pipe; and being manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree he may endanger himself or other persons or property, or unreasonably annoy persons in his vicinity, on Sept. 22 .
• Stanley McCarty, 39, of Louisa, charged with two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and heroin on July 31.
• Todd Fitzpatrick, 27, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, operating a non-motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, pipes, baggies, syringes, an altered straw and a pipe; and operating a non-motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances on July 16.
• Billy Adam Pence, 42, of Eubank, charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree persistent felony offender, first-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 but under $10,000 for allegedly entering and remaining in Addiction Recovery Care after having previously left the treatment program as a client, with the intent to commit the crime of theft; and damaging a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck owned by Donald Picklesimer of Genoa, W.Va., with the amount of damages exceeding $1,000, and taking two wallets from Addiction Recovery Center, one belonging to Kevin DeShales and the other to Clinton Cook, both wallets containing cash monies in the sum of $1,903, on Aug. 29. He was also previously convicted of a felony.
• Seth C. Muncy, 33, of Lovely, charged with criminal attempted kidnapping and third-degree terroristic threatening for allegedly attempting to deprive the parent or guardian of the custody of a minor, when the person taking the minor is not a person exercising custodial control of the minor, and threatening death or serious injury to Crystal Muncy on Sept. 29.
• Larry Blackburn, 44, and James Mullett, 39, both of Louisa, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/complicity and possession of drug paraphernalia/complicity for allegedly possessing more than two grams of methamphetamine, $115 in cash, two digital scales, used baggies containing chemical residue, a loaded syringe and glass pipes on Aug. 10.
• Mullett is additionally charged with second-degree persistent felony offender; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence for allegedly possessing heroin, and destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against her or him in an official proceeding.
• Calvin Workman, 56, of Fallsburg, charged with distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 and 20 counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 for allegedly distributing or possessing with the intent to distribute a matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 with the knowledge of the content and character of said matter on July 24 and Aug. 26; and on 20 occasions, possessing possession or intentionally viewing matter that visually depicted an actual sexual performance by a minor under 12 with knowledge of its content, namely numerous electronic files depicting minor children engaging in sexual performances.
• William Jason Dillon, 42, of Louisa, charged with two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon for allegedly possessing a Ruger .22-caliber handgun and a Heritage Arms.22-caliber handgun on Aug. 26 after having been previously convicted of a felony.
• Ashley Cox, 34, of Olive Hill, charged with theft by deception greater than $1,000 but under $10,000 for allegedly obtaining property, services or money from Food City of Louisa, by issuing or passing checks totaling $8,497, knowing it will not be honored by the drawee, from March 17 to March 27.
• Donald Harris, 41, of Louisa, charged with first-degree criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a Lawrence County District Court bench, with the amount of damages exceeding $1,000, on Feb. 12.
• Green W. Ramey, 42, of Lowmansville, charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly entering a house owned by Janet Collins of Lawrence County with the intent to commit theft on Aug. 16 and for having previously been convicted of a felony.
• Ami Quesenberry, 41, of Louisa, charged with second-degree burglary for allegedly entering a house owned by Debbie Robinson of Louisa with the intent to commit an assault on May 7.
• Ronald Ward, 43, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence on May 7 that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding.
