Lawrence County Food/Retail Inspections released

After thirteen Louisa businesses were inspected by the Public Health Director, seven came back with perfect scores while three more followed right behind scoring a 99 percent.
According to Debbie Miller, MBA, MT (ASCP) from the Lawrence County Health Department, the following establishments received a 100 percent on their Environmental Food/Retail Inspection for January 2025:
Family Dollar, Ulysses; Dollar General, Ulysses; McDonalds of Louisa; Smitty’s Carryout and Tobacco, Louisa; Twisted Treats & Sinless Sweets, Louisa; Madhav (Fallsburg Store); and Top Tier Tattoos, Louisa.
Scoring 99 percent were Hardees of Louisa; Burger King of Louisa and Dollar General of Fallsburg.
Louisa Sunoco Food Mart, which some refer to as “The Birdhouse” or “Castle” scored a 97 percent and Louisa Baskin Robbins, which is inside the Sunoco Food Mart was given a 96 percent.
Last on the list was Gabriel’s Toro Loco which received a 93 percent.
It isn’t certain as of press time when the next inspections will be.
