Johnson County Grand Jury returns 17 true bills in their August session

Among those indicted during the August session of the Johnson County Grand Jury, were Sabre Napier, 32, Sitka, who was charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance, first degree possession of schedule II controlled substance, second degree persistent felony offender, third degree possession of a schedule v controlled substance, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence first-offense, prescription not in proper container, failure to wear seatbelt and license to be in possession when on June 3 she was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Lorazepam, marijuana along with traffic violations.

Arthur Johnson, 32, of Louisa, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia when on February 9 he was found to be unlawfully in possession of Methamphetamine and an altered clear pipe with chemical residue.

Brandon Gullett, 40, and Kristian Gullett, 38, of Paintsville, were charged with first-degree criminal mischief complicity and first-degree persistent felony enhancement when on July 6, they unlawfully damaged, defaced, or destroyed property located at Forest Park Lane, Paintsville, owned by Max Malone equaling $1,169.85.

Justin Fields, 33, of Paintsville, was charged with first-degree promoting contraband and persistent felony offender when on March 27, he unlawfully committed the offense of introducing, obtaining, or possessing Suboxone into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Austin Blanton, 30, of Prestonsburg, was charged with first-degree promoting contraband and persistent felony offender when on March 12, he unlawfully committed the offense of introducing, obtaining, or possessing Fentanyl into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Mason Maynard, 33, of Flat Gap, was charged with first-degree promoting contraband and persistent felony offender when on June 25, he unlawfully committed the offense of introducing, obtaining, or possessing Suboxone into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Kendra Blair, 34, Wabash, IN, was charged with first-degree bailjumping when on July 12, she unlawfully having been released from custody by the court without bail upon condition that she would subsequently appear at the specified time in connection with Johnson County felony charge as ordered by the court and failed to appear for a pre-trial conference.

Abigail Price, 23, Hager Hill, was charged with first-degree bail jumping when on July 12, she unlawfully having been released from custody by the court without bail upon condition that she would subsequently appear at the specified time in connection with Johnson County felony charge as ordered by the court and failed to appear for a pre-trial conference.

Tyler Caldwell, 36, of Meally, was charged with first-degree promoting contraband and persistent felony offender when on July 16, he unlawfully committed the offense of introducing, obtaining, or possessing contraband as assistant kitchen manager at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Ellen Rose Fortner, 32, of Fort Gay, WV, was charged with first-degree promoting contraband and persistent felony offender when on June 10, she unlawfully committed the offense of introducing, obtaining, or possessing Fentanyl into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Vicky Hudson, 72, of Paintsville, was charged with first-degree bail jumping when on July 12, she unlawfully having been released from custody by the court without bail upon condition that she would subsequently appear at the specified time in connection with Johnson County felony charge as ordered by the court and failed to appear for a pre-trial conference.

David Stambaugh, 43, of Paintsville, was charged with first-degree bail jumping when on July 26, he unlawfully having been released from custody by the court without bail upon condition that he would subsequently appear at the specified time in connection with Johnson County felony charge as ordered by the court and failed to appear for an arraignment hearing.

Ronald Sammons, 34, Paintsville, was charged with first-degree bail jumping when on August 9, unlawfully having been released from custody by the court without bail upon condition that he would subsequently appear at the specified time in connection with Johnson County felony charge as ordered by the court and failed to appear for a pre-trial conference.

Natalie Skeens, 24, of Wittensville, was charged with first-degree bail jumping when on August 9, unlawfully having been released from custody by the court without bail upon condition that she would subsequently appear at the specified time in connection with Johnson County felony charge as ordered by the court and failed to appear for a pre-trial conference.

Christian Crace, 29, of East Point, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a schedule V controlled substance, third-degree terroristic threatening and public intoxication excluding alcohol when on Nov. 24, 2023, he was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, Gabapentin, threatening to commit a crime of murder/assault against Deputy Aaron Blevins and being manifestly intoxicated in a public place.

Both John T. Allen, 38, of Debord and Henry K. Butcher, 26, of Tomahawk are charged with complicity third-degree arson, first-degree criminal mischief, 7 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment when on July 7, they acted in complicity in the offense of causing damage and destruction to property owned by WalMart in Paintsville by intrentionally setting a fire and by destroying property owned by WalMart totaling $5,438.69, unlawfully engaging in conduct which created substantial danger of serious injury to another, namely Matthew Watkins, Jakob Osborne, Kevin Nelson, Susan Litton, Angela Castle, Trenton Estep and Cody Haney.
