Johnson Co. 4-H at the Kentucky State Fair

PAINTSVILLE —The Johnson County Cooperative Extension Service posted on Facebook, the 4-H Livestock Club Events and results at the Kentucky State Fair.

“These 4-H members have been busy All year long preparing for their events. Many thanks to their parents who attended meeting with them and accompanied them to the fair,” the Extension Service said in their post. “Also thank you to their fearless leader, Erica Taylor-Renolds. I am so impressed with their dedication and skill development. Most of all, I love the friendships, laughter and good times I witnessed them sharing this year and this past week. They represented Johnson County well.”

Events included Country Hams and Speeches with Jacob Castle, Etta Daniels and Sophia Dotson receiving blue ribbons; George Daniels and Logan Dotson, red ribbons and Carson Fannin a white ribbon.

Poultry Showmanship, Sophia Dots, Etta Daniels, George Daniels and Jacob Castle, all received blue ribbons.

Poultry Judge, George Daniels received a blue ribbon and Jaccob Castle and Etta Daniels each received a red ribbon.

Rabbit Judging, Jacob Castle, champion-mixed breed rabbit and Logan Dotson, a blue ribbon for Holland Lop.

Avian Quiz Bowl, Jr. Division, Sophia Dotson received a blue ribbon; Jacob Castle and George Daniels a red ribbon. In the Sr. Division, Etta Daniels received a red ribbon and Madison Young a blue ribbon.
