Incest leads list of Lawrence Grand Jury charges

LOUISA — The Lawrence County Grand Jury returned 15 indictments Thursday, including one for incest.
Clinton D. Whitt, 44, of Louisa, is charged with incest, second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse will a minor under the age of 18 years, engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 14 years, engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 14 years and subjecting a minor under the age of 12 years to sexual contact from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2019.
Others named in true bills were:
• William McCarty, 35, of Hager Hill, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Jan. 4.
• Shelly Collins, 33, of Louisville, charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly possessing 1,360 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to traffic along with fentanyl on March 30 and for having previously been convicted of a felony.
• Michael Shawn Cordle, 47, of Louisa, charged with first-degree assault and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly causing physical injury to Jennifer Owens by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument on Feb. 22 and for having previously been convicted of a felony.
• Pamela Stiltner, 43, of Louisa, charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment and failure to wear a seatbelt for allegedly disregarding signals and commands to stop given by Louisa Police Officer, Jeffrey Kirk with the intent to flee, avoid or elude her arrest; engaging in conduct that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to a juvenile; and operating a motor vehicle without having a seatbelt properly adjusted and fastened on March 17.
• James Mullett, 39, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and careless driving for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate that motor vehicle and in a careless manner to other motor vehicles and their operators on March 15.
• Autumn Hart, 28, of Catlettsburg, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Feb. 3.
• Hansel Wiley, 51, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on March 17.
• William West, 36, of Louisa, charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license for allegedly disregarding orders of Lawrence County Deputy Jeffrey Kirk to stop and operating a motor vehicle on March 31 while his license was suspended or revoked.
• Evan Sizemore, 29, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on March 25.
• Shelly Collins, 33, of Louisville, charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 (auto) and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly taking a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze owned by Gary Clay of Louisa, with a value exceeding $10,000, on March 30 and for having previously been convicted of a felony.
• Melinda Wallace, 42, and James Boyd, 38, both of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia/complicity for allegedly, acting alone or in complicity with each other, possessing methamphetamine, two pipes, a set of scales and cut/altered straws on March 5.
• Michelle West, 27, of Louisa, charged with first-degree wanton endangerment for allegedly engaging in conduct that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Michael West on Feb. 20.
• Douglas Murray, 74, of Louisa, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on March 1.
