Kids’ Fishing Day

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hosted it’s annual Kids’ Fishing Day Saturday at the Yatesville Lak State Park Marina. Approximately 100 children signed up to participate. Helping to make this event possible were the Lawrence County Tourism Commission, Foothills Communications, the Pikeville Pepsi Plant, Yatesville Bait and Tackle, James Howard, Louisa Walmart, Dee’s Drive-Inn, Suzie New, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Marathon Petroleum Corp., staff and volunteers. All participants were 15 and under and competed for awards and prizes. A free lunch was provided.
