According to Marsha Slone, producer, “Words cannot express how very proud I am of our “Ghosts of The Big Sandy” cast and crew.

This journey to make a professional film here locally has been such a challenge. But, I hope everyone will enjoy it this weekend. I hope this can be a foundation to allow more opportunities for us to make movies here in Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia.

The cast and crew on this project have become like family to me. They gave 110% when they were working and they continue to inspire as I watch them continue to chase their dreams.

My community was amazing… so many people came thru supporting us. Loaning us locations, cars, props, venues, feeding us during the 2 weeks of filming and just being so positive and excited to see us accomplish this goal. If you were part of this process, you will always be so appreciated by me.

After years of dreaming it, working on it and never giving up on it, we get to share it with you before it goes into worldwide distribution.”
