From Fourth of July to Fourth Annual Fair

Lawrence County is going from one celebration to the next without missing a beat.
This past weekend was Fourth of July and this coming weekend beginning Saturday, July 11, events for the Fourth Annual Lawrence County Fair 2026 are kicking off with the Pickleball Tournament. The location for the event is the Lawrence County High School tennis courts.

The Lawrence County Fair Beauty Pageant and Talent Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, at 5 p.m., at the Lawrence County Community Center on Bulldog Lane.
Applications to enter can be picked up at the Lawrence County Extension Office, Fred M. Vinson Museum, or the day of the contest.
This year’s fair will have events all day on Friday, July 24, including Mutton Bustin’, livestock shows, horse shows and more.
The events on Saturday will include a car and bike show at the Hilltop Methodist Church parking lot, from 9 a.m. to noon, with trophies and door prizes, there will also be vendors set up, tractor shows, greasy pig contest, cultural arts and foods exhibit and much more.
Saturday’s highlight will be the Rough E Rodeo beginning at 7 p.m. Entry ticket are $10, kids 10 and under get in free. The show offers bull riding, saddle broncs, barrel racing, Dave “Showtime” Myer, “Don’t Tell the Bishop (midway act) and Carlie Hale Trick and Roman Rider. Contestants can enter on Monday, July 20, from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m., or text 419-305-3142.
Costs for bull riders EF $80; barrel racing EF $50; ranch broncs EF $70.
