A Lawrence County woman, who had her already strong faith renewed, told of a miracle that happened Thursday near the Lawrence County Judicial Building May 7 on US 23 that even brought tears to first responders.

“As I was driving down 23 my car caught on fire,” said faith Spaulding. “God protected me I was able to get out of the car got my wallet and purse, God sent strangers to my side to be with me to keep me calm. He sent me a wonderful officer (later identified as Louisa Patrolman Mike Housinger) to be by my side and even a hug when I started crying. And through all that the box of Bibles that I had in my backseat for the ministry was protected not a drop of water, not a hint of smoke, no burnt edges they remained absolutely perfect. God literally turned ashes into beauty. Even was able to hand out bibles from my burnt car. Tell me God is still not in the miracle business. What a mighty God I want to shout to the world how much I thank him!”

Spaulding suffered no injuries from the car fire.
