FALLSBURG — Fallsburg Fire Chief Chris Jobe said they are not able to confirm yet whether a man and woman on Old Fallsburg Road suffered from possible carbon monoxide poisoning early Tuesday morning.
Jobe said that when they responded to the residence of a possible carbon monoxide poisoning, the male and female in the home had already been removed by family.
“They were taken to Three Rivers Medical Center by NetCare Ambulance Service to be checked out,” Jobe said. “At this point, we can’t confirm that it was carbon monoxide poisoning. They had a kerosene heater, but I don’t know if they were using it.”
Jobe said they encourage people to purchase a carbon monoxide detector for their homes, especially if they are using certain kinds of heating methods, and to always remember to ventilate.
