Dryer Catches Fire in Louisa Home

THE LOUISA VOLUNTEER Fire Department responded on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 25, to a working structure fire near the Marathon Station on Rt. 32. The residence was occupied by Mike and Crystal Bond and family. According to a Facebook post by Crystal, the household dryer caught fire.

Crystal also put this statement on Facebook, “I want to thank everyone so much for all their help and concern for my family and me! It’s been a rough day. We will know more of what and all was lost in our house fire tomorrow when it’s day light and we can see more. We are truly blessed with so many good friends and family and such a wonderful outreach from our community it has been so heart-warming. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!”

Everett Swafford from the Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church, 103 E. Lock St., Louisa, is a drop off point for donations to the family.
