“Community Country Christmas” announces new location this year in Louisa

It may be early, but we want everyone to save the date and know about this year’s new location for “Community Country Christmas.”

Due to the place where the event has been held in the past being sold and taken over by the Lawrence County School System for the new elementary school, the event has been moved to the Louisa Community Center, located at 101 West Pike Street, downtown behind Giovanni’s.

This is the 14th year that the event has been held. The theme is “Christmas Down on the Farm.”

According to organizer Pat Kincaid, “We are so excited to see all the families and their children at our free event. Churches and businesses have really blessed our community with their help to make this possible.”

The group is now accepting donations of cash to purchase toys or you can donate items you have purchased. Also accepting stocking (filled or empty) that will be given out to the children. A drop off location for items in Louisa is at The Big Sandy News office, 209 East Madison Street, downtown (across from Dee’s Restaurant).

Pat went on to say, “Most of all Jesus is our reason for giving and blessing people and love of Jesus to shine in our lives and community.”

There will be lots of fun, live entertainment, food with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus visiting with the children. For more information on how you can help or volunteer your time, call Pat at 304-648-5968, or check out Love Joy Ministries Facebook page. Mark your calendars and help us spread the word by sharing the flyer from Facebook. We look forward to celebrating Christmas with the community!
